EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

The Idaho Youth Ranch offers an excellent comprehensive benefit plan, including medical insurance, a prescription card, and dental insurance. Our benefits package also allows generous leave time, educational assistance, a cafeteria plan, supplemental insurance coverage, a tax-deferred retirement program, and substantial discounts at any of our many thrift store locations. Employee are eligible for benefits the first of the month following 30 days of service or on the first of the month following 180 days of service depending on eligibility requirements.

MEDICAL INSURANCE

The Idaho Youth Ranch provides affordable medical insurance coverage to employees and their families. The medical insurance is currently provided through PacificSource. The deductible for this insurance is $750 per person. After reaching the deductible, employees pay 20% of the contracted cost of in-network care. For out-of-network care, employees pay 40% of the billed cost. The insurance plan includes a $25 dollar co-pay for physician office visits. Idaho Youth Ranch pays approximately 90% of the premium for the employee and approximately 40% of the employee’s dependant(s) premium. Employees can pay their share of premiums with pre-tax or post-tax dollars.

PRESCRIPTION CARD

Employees enrolled in the Idaho Youth Ranch Medical Health Insurance Program pay $7 for each generic prescription. The Plan pays 70% of formulary prescriptions. Employees pay $50 for a formulary prescription or 30% whichever is greater.

SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE COVERAGE

Employees have the opportunity to purchase supplemental insurance products such as life insurance, disability insurance, cancer insurance, and accident insurance. The premiums for some of these products can be paid using pre-tax dollars through the Idaho Youth Ranch Cafeteria Plan.

CAFETERIA PLAN, HEALTH CARE FLEXIBLE SPENDING, AND DEPENDENT CARE

Employees can pay their share of their medical insurance premiums using pre-tax dollars through the Idaho Youth Ranch Cafeteria Plan. This benefit has the effect of lowering employees’ taxable income. It is also available for the premiums employees pay for some of the supplemental insurance coverage described immediately above. The Idaho Youth Ranch also offers a flexible spending account which allows employees to use pre-tax dollars for eligible medical expenses up to $3,600. In addition to the health care flexible spending account, Idaho Youth Ranch offers a dependent care account for all employees to use for daycare expenses for eligible dependents. The annual maximum per year is $5,000.

DENTAL PROGRAM

Idaho Youth Ranch offers Delta Dental insurance coverage to employees. Idaho Youth Ranch pays 100% of the cost for the Delta Dental coverage. Preventative and diagnostic services (examination, x-rays, teeth cleaning) are covered 100% by Idaho Youth Ranch. Basic services (fillings, root canals, extractions, minor oral surgery), major services (crowns, onlays, veneers, bridges, dentures) and orthodontia are not covered by this plan. Employees may see any dental provider.

VOLUNTARY DENTAL PLAN

Employees have the opportunity to purchase voluntary supplemental dental insurance for themselves and their eligible dependents. Idaho Youth Ranch has contracted with Blue Cross (PPO) to provide additional insurance at an affordable cost to employees. The deductible for an in-network provider is $50 / out of network provider is $75. There is a $20 copayment for in-network preventive services. In-network basic services are covered at 80% and major services are covered at 50%. In-Network orthodontic services are coverage at 50%. The maximum benefit that will be paid in any one year period is $1,000. The maximum benefit that will be paid in any one year period for orthodontia is $1,500. The premium for this coverage can be paid by using pre-tax dollars through the Idaho Youth Ranch Cafeteria Plan.

VOLUNTARY VISION PLAN

Employees have the opportunity to purchase voluntary vision insurance for themselves and their eligible dependents. Idaho Youth Ranch has contracted with VSP to provide additional insurance at an affordable cost to employees. There is a $10 co-payment for eye exams and a $25 co-payment for lenses and frames through a VSP provider. The premium for this coverage can be paid by using pre-tax dollars through the Idaho Youth Ranch Cafeteria Plan.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Employees enrolled in the Idaho Youth Ranch Medical Insurance Plan are eligible to participate in the EAP Program to receive free professional counseling services.

RETIREMENT PLAN

Employees may participate in the Idaho Youth Ranch 403(b) Retirement Plan. Through this tax-deferred plan, employees may invest a portion of their salary to save and invest in their retirement. The employee’s money is invested in accordance with the employee’s desires. Employees can begin making contributions to the plan from their salary immediately upon hiring.

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE

Employees are eligible to receive financial assistance from the Idaho Youth Ranch to help further their education in fields related to their work responsibilities.

PAID VACATION

Employees earn paid vacation at rates related to their specific positions and longevity.

PAID SICK LEAVE

Employees earn the benefit of paid sick leave at the rate of eight hours per month.

HOLIDAYS

Idaho Youth Ranch recognizes seven paid holidays throughout the year. Employees unable to take those holidays due to the need to keep Idaho Youth Ranch treatment programs operating seven days each week throughout the year earn paid vacation at an accelerated rate.

Employees receive generous discounts on all purchases made from any Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Store.
